Music has always been central to my work.
In my Cubist paintings, musicians and instruments are fragmented into shifting planes of color, geometry, and movement. Figures appear to dissolve and reassemble, much as a melody changes as it moves through time.
Through synesthesia, I experience music through color, rhythm, and atmosphere. Cubism gives me another visual language for translating that experience—one built through fractured form rather than the elongated strokes of Strialism.
These paintings are not intended as portraits of musicians. They are about the experience of music itself: rhythm, movement, tension, harmony, and emotion.
Then go directly into the paintings.
